This is sound advice, Daniel. It’s fantastic that you were able to do both for so many years, it must still be hard to juggle everything but being able to create gives spice to life.
Sure, sometimes. But we learn as we live, don't we? The more you write, the stronger your writer's muscle, the more disciplined you can be. And to me, discipline and stamina have always trumped talent. You can be wonderfully talented, but if you don't have the discipline and stamina, you'll never get anywhere. The more disciplined you are, the more you get to enjoy life - pretty awesome balance that way.
